AdGreen Levy

The AdGreen Levy is a payment made by those using theAdGreen Carbon Calculator to measure their emissions from advertising production. It is a recommended 0.25% of the cost to produce an advertising asset – that’s just £2.50 per £1,000 spent on a shoot, and is capped at £2,500 per production. 

The levy is paid to those producing work for the advertiser in the UK, such as the advertising agency or production company, and then passed onto AdGreen to enable us to continue supporting the UK advertising industry in reducing emissions from production. There are a number of templates available on our resources hub page to support the levy collection.

The levy can currently be collected by UK based organisations, on productions happening anywhere in the world. We may look to roll out the levy internationally in the future.
